Carol MN Scopes – Who are you?

Quite simply, Reflexology encourages self healing, helps restore and maintain your body’s natural equilibrium.

My name is Carol MN Scopes. I qualified as a Reflexologist in 2004 with the Association of Reflexology ( and have been practicing ever since. I am fully insured to practice on the public. .

I thoroughly enjoyed qualifying as a Reflexologist, The course was without doubt hard work as we studied Reflexology practice and theory alongside Anatamony and Physiology. We are not qualified medical practitioners but we are required to have a thorough understanding of how the body works and thus be able to treat clients appropriately and safely.

Previously I worked in the City of London for 10 years within Human Resources. I was lucky to gain experience across all areas of the Human Resources function while studying for a Post Graduate Diploma (pgdip) in Human Resource Management. However the area I most enjoyed and also got tremendous satisfaction from was Training and Development – helping to ensure that people skills and experiences were being suitably and positively channelled. My last position was as Training and Development Manager for the European office of a major US investment bank. I was also a fully qualified member of the Chartered institute of Personnel and Development (MCIPD).

Unfortunately suffering from post-viral-fatigue after a nasty bout of glandular fever, I was forced to re-evaluate my lifestyle and take a break from my career. With the help of complementary therapies and importantly a better understanding of stress management. I have been able to manage my health. I did not return to the City but was prompted instead to re-train in the field of complementary therapies, specifically as a Reflexologist. I chose Reflexology over other therapies because I was both interested and fascinated in how this ancient practice, which was gaining so much in popularity, worked and because it had helped me at a time of illhealth and stress. I also completed two short courses; stress management and Counselling skill, both of which have enabled me to be a better practitioner.

I now live in Reigate, Surrey and am a Mother to 2 young boys!
